The city of Exeter is a regional city in the county of Devon in the south west of England. It is a beautiful and historic city in an excellent location, making it a popular destination for visitors whether from the UK or abroad. Nearby is the Dartmoor National Park and the world rated Jurassic coastline. It is also not far from the city of Plymouth and the market town of Honiton.

The city of Exeter benefits from excellent transport links. It can be easily accessed by the M5 motorway, the A30 as well as being home to an expanding airport which offers regular flights to many destinations including European and UK destinations.

Exeter University is one of the leading UK universities having got its royal charter in 1955. It performs very well in both academic and student league tables, having recently been placed 7th in a student satisfaction survey.

The TA (Territorial Army) offers a University Officer Training Corps which is made up of 19 partner universities. Undergraduates can join the organisation during their degree and undergo a range of military and adventure activities. Although the majority of the undergraduates do not go on to join the military forces some do and it is excellent preparation for this. Equally, it offers brilliant transferable skills (such as leadership) which are highly valued by prospective employers.
