Exeter University has some of the best sports facilities in the United Kingdom. With a 4 million pound redevelopment program, two brand new synthetic turf pitches, one of which is water based, a state of the art martial arts studio, and a Body works health and fitness studio with all the finest facilities.
The Streatham campus is host to a very large sports centre where the main hall is used for a variety of sports like football, basketball, hockey, archery, tennis, netball, volleyball, badminton and indoor cricket. There are also eight squash courts along with a climbing and traversing wall. Other activities like yoga, aerobics, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, circuit training are taught to students and teaching faculty alike.
The PE block at the St. Luke's United Kingdom campus houses, two huge sports halls, which accommodate a heated indoor swimming pool and a weight training room. For those who love to sail there are a fleet of lark dinghies at Star cross yacht Club on the Exeter canal.
Exeter has earned itself the reputation of being one of the finest sports institutions in the United Kingdom with state of the art sports facilities. The sports performance program ensures that participants have the best when it comes to nutrition, psychological and technical training so that they put in their best performance. As late as 2007, a multi use games area that offers an all weather flood facility where football and tennis tournaments can be held was opened.
